Boston's Youth -- A Private Tour
November 4, 2009 | 5:00pm-9:00pm
Meet in the lobby of The Boston Foundation, 75 Arlington St. Boston, MA
Take a private bus/walking tour of some of Boston's most challenged neighborhoods. See and hear, first hand, how our city's education system and workforce development programs impact (or fail to impact) the lives of our youth. Why such high drop-out rates? Why gang involvement? Why are so many of our youth unemployable?
Robert Lewis Jr., Vice President for Program at The Boston Foundation and former head of the City of Boston's street worker program, will be our host. He will introduce us to youth, street workers, and other social service providers, encouraging us to ask what's being done and what more needs to be done.
