SVP Boston is proud to sponsor the Boston premier of "The Finland Phenomenon: Inside the World's Most Surprising School System".

Why a story about Finland? Finland's education system is consistently ranked #1 in the world, making it the envy of every education reformer. The puzzle: why Finland? Documentary film maker, Bob Compton (of "2 Million Minutes" acclaim), along with our own Tony Wagner (SVP Partner, Harvard University, and author of the best-seller "The Global Achievement Gap") decided to find out. In the 60 minute film, Tony Wagner gives us an inside look at the world's finest education system and reveals surprising factors accounting for Finland's #1 ranking.
Says Tony, "I have been an educator and researcher for over 30 hears and what I learned in Finland was truly astonishing. Finland's process of educating their children is nearly opposite of America's current approach and it's an approach that we can really learn from."
What can we learn from Finland? An esteemed panel will help us think through that question.
