We are a diverse community of leaders investing our time and money in innovative local nonprofits in the fields of education, workforce development, and family economic self-sufficiency. Through our rigorous investment approach and collective giving, we sharpen our individual philanthropy and have an impact much greater than we would on our own.
Each SVP Partner makes an annual minimum contribution of $5,500. We pool these funds and invest them in carefully selected nonprofits. But the core of our philanthropic model is engagement. We give of ourselves -- our time, our expertise, and our contacts -- to help our Investees achieve growth goals that they often thought were impossible. Through this direct involvement, we, too, are strengthened as philanthropists and more personally connected to one another and to the larger Boston community.
Since 2002, we have invested more than $1 million in Boston and surrounding communities. Including our funding, the value of our Partners’ time, and additional benefits to our Investees, we estimate the total philanthropic impact to the community has been more than nine times the financial investment. That's impact. That's engaged philanthropy.
