Our Programs

We are a partner-led, venture philanthropy 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports early-stage, BIPOC-led local nonprofits through a combination of unrestricted grants to fund operations and pro bono consulting to tackle projects to accelerate scaling their organizations. Our grantees receive direct support for up to 3 years and remain in our network as alumni. On average, our grantees see ~80% growth in revenue over the course of our 3-year engagement with them, which is 5X the rate of similarly sized nonprofits in Greater Boston.

01

Unrestricted Grants

We provide unrestricted grants to our grantees for up to 3 years. We allow our grantees to use our grants to support their critical growth needs.

02

Consulting Services

Finalists of our grant cycles are provided pro bono consulting services by our volunteer partners. We put together a core consulting team that tackles projects ranging from strategic planning, to staffing and human resources, governance issues, financial planning, and more. Throughout our engagement, we pitch in on smaller projects as they come up, bringing in partners who have the relevant expertise to support on immediate needs. Each year, on average, our grantees receive about 500 hours of consulting, valued at $75,000, for free.

Educational Forums

We offer multiple education series. We run "ED Circles" to bring together Executive Directors of our grantee and alumni organizations to discuss nonprofit hot topics. We also offer educational and social forums for our partners, grantees, alumni and network to attend focused on the latest thought leadership relating to our Social Impact Priority Framework.

04

Network Access

We are giving our grantees access to business leaders through our partners and corporate partners that helps to expand our grantees' networks. We also connect the nonprofits across our portfolio, building a community of dynamic leaders creating lasting change in Boston.
