The SVPB Resource Team

The Social Venture Partners Boston Resource Team plays an important role in strengthening grassroots organizations working on the ground level of economic mobility for under-resourced communities.

What is The Resource Team? The Resource Team is a new SVP Boston initiative that will increase the impact of our model by engaging additional highly skilled nonprofit professionals, SVPB Partners, and former SVPB Partners with a 5 to 10-hour annual investment who commit to being available for limited consultations related to their area of expertise. Other professionals may join by making a suggested annual investment of $500 or more, aligning with our venture philanthropy model that emphasizes strategic, impactful giving.

Who is on The Resource Team? Our Team includes industry experts in consulting, nonprofit board development, communications and fundraising, finance, HR, IT, law, strategic planning, and so on.

What are the benefits? This new initiative will:

  • Help rapidly scale the entire SVPB portfolio of equity-focused nonprofits by expanding the breadth of SVPB’s services and addressing vital needs across  Partner Engagement Teams.

  • Provide an entry point for resource- or time-constrained individuals who want to contribute their expertise, aligning with SVP’s mission to build a community of informed philanthropists.

  • Offer a flexible way for current Partners to stay involved, even when their availability changes.

  • Retain the skills and knowledge of former SVPB Partners in a limited capacity.

Who can utilize The Team?

  • Current SVPB Grantee Engagement Teams.
